Particle Devices are used to interact with other systems, hardwire buttons, or other devices on-premise. Particle processors are used in SA-Alert, Contact Notifier, SA-WiFi Base, and other StaffAlerter products. When a device is ordered it is configured on your organization's StaffAlerter portal and preconfigured to work on your organization's wireless network.

Step 1 - Particle Devices

Click on Particle Devices under the Devices heading at the bottom of the page.

Step 2 - Device List

Click on the Device Name to view more detail about the device

Step 3 - Selecting the Board

In the Function Call section, Click the Board dropdown and select the Board to control

Function Command Overview

1. After selecting the board to control a list of commands is shown.
2. Argument Box - Enter the Command to perform in the Argument Box, some examples are:
   1. Activate relay 1 for 5 seconds
   2. Toggle Relay 1
   3. Relay 1 on momentary
   4. Flip Relay 1
3. Add as a Button - Allows the command to be added as a button.
4. Send to Device - Sends the Argument to the unit.

<aside> 💡 It is recommended that you send the desired argument to the unit to verify the argument entered is valid prior to creating a button for the command. A successful command will show the action in the Variables and Recent Events section.

Step 4 - Creating the Button
