The Personal Alerting Device (PAD) is an AWS IoT programmable button based on the Amazon Dash Button hardware. This simple Wi-Fi device provides a three function button and is easy to configure and manage.
Using the AWS IoT rules engine the PAD buttons have been connected to your or your customers StaffAlerter.com site. Upon press an AWS IoT event is created, these events are then routed to the AWS StaffAlerter.com server where they are processed based upon the configured rule. Each PAD button can be configured to have a rule configured for single-click, double-click, or long-press events on StaffAlerter.com
Configuring the PAD for a different SSID

- Remove the AWS IoT button from its packaging
- Press and hold the button until a blue blinking light appears. (This should take no longer than 15 seconds.)
