Particle Devices are used to interact with other systems, hardwire buttons, or other devices on-premise. Particle processors are used in SA-Alert, Contact Notifier, SA-WiFi Base, and other StaffAlerter products. When a device is ordered it is configured on your organization's StaffAlerter portal and preconfigured to work on your organization's wireless network.

<aside> 💡 Updating the Wi-Fi of a device must be done from a computer with Wi-Fi connectivity and within 100' of the device you are updating. It is best done from a laptop in the same room as the device.

Step 1 - Particle Devices

Click on Particle Devices under the Devices heading at the bottom of the page.

Step 2 - Device List

Click on the Device Name to view more detail about the device

Step 3 - Device Page

Click Update WiFi at the top of the Device page

Step 4 - Follow on Screen Directions

You will be presented with the Particle Wi-Fi Wizard to update the Wi-Fi of the device. Following the on-screen instructions and you will be successful in updating the SSID the device is connecting to.
